Overtime rates will apply as follows, as based on work location, per state regulations.
Alaska work location:
Hours worked in excess of 8 per day, or 40 per week, constitute Overtime.
California work location:
Hours worked in excess of 8 per day or 40 per week, and the first 8 hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek constitute Overtime. Hours worked in excess of 12 per day and all hours worked in excess of 8 on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek constitute Double Time.
Colorado work location:
Hours worked in excess of 12 per day, or 40 per week, constitute Overtime.
Kentucky work location:
Hours worked in excess of 40 per week, and any hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of the workweek, constitute Overtime.
Rhode Island:
Hours worked in excess of 40 per week, and any hours worked on Sunday or a Rhode Island-designated holiday, constitute Overtime.
All other states:
Hours worked in excess of 40 per week constitute Overtime.
Any non-exempt employee who works overtime is compensated at the rate of one and one-half times (1½) the employee’s regular rate for all time worked in excess of forty (40) hours each workweek, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Overtime pay is calculated based on actual hours worked. Paid time off, holidays, or any leave of absence will not be considered hours worked for purposes of performing overtime calculations.
